Senior Surveyor, Andrew Seale joins Barnsdales to help South West businesses boom

Barnsdales property consultancy has appointed Andrew Seale as the new senior surveyor for the South West

Barnsdales is a leading property consultancy, with more than fifty professionals at offices across the country. Chartered surveyor, Andrew Seale MRICS joins the firm’s newest office in Cirencester where he’ll be supporting property owners across the South West.

One of the properties Andrew will manage at Barnsdales is the 52,000sq ft Cirencester Office Park located near Cirencester town centre.

Barnsdales in Cirencester was established two years ago with the acquisition of David Allberry & Company, a property consultancy practice which began in 1979. Since then, the consultancy has expanded, taking on a wide range of properties in Gloucestershire and attracting new businesses to the area.

Andrew Seale is a chartered surveyor who has previously worked for internationally renowned commercial real estate firms GL Hearn and Cushman & Wakefield where Andrew managed property on behalf of organisations including Barclay’s Bank. In his new role at Barnsdales, Andrew will focus on property management, agency, rent reviews and lease renewals and he also has expertise in business rates.

One of his objectives at Barnsdales in Cirencester is to help the area adapt and make the most of the cultural changes that have resulted from the coronavirus pandemic. Andrew believes this will see market towns such as Cirencester become increasingly attractive to businesses and workers.

Senior Surveyor at Barnsdales Cirencester, Andrew Seale said:

“Cirencester is a town full of opportunity and I’m excited to be playing a role in helping investors, developers and businesses to support this area at what I think will be a key moment as we near the end of this pandemic.

Market towns like Cirencester have already demonstrated their ability to adapt to people’s changing shopping habits and unlike other places, Cirencester isn’t dependent on tourism and it’s not a major commuter town.

“People and businesses are beginning to turn away from the big cities, so they can live closer to work in areas where they can have a better quality of life and better work-life balance. I think this change has been accelerated by the pandemic and the way it’s transformed how people want to work, shop and travel, and it’s important that areas can adapt to support that ambition to build back better.

“With its wide range of local amenities, good transport links and stunning location, Cirencester and towns across the South West should be able to capitalise on this cultural shift and I’ll be working with property owners to help them make the most of the opportunities ahead of us. Expert, professional property advice is the prerequisite of success, and I’m excited to be lending my support in driving our business forward with successful outcomes.”

Established in 1905, Barnsdales is a family business with offices in Doncaster, Sheffield, Manchester, Lincoln, London and Cirencester.. The company is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA).

Managing Director of Barnsdales, Jason Barnsdale said:

“Our Cirencester office has had a fantastic couple of years and it’s grown significantly. With Andrew joining the team, we’ll be making the most of his first class market contacts and local knowledge. Going forward, Andrew will be working closely with our facilities management business in Gloucester to benefit clients of both businesses through a more integrated service. He’ll also be using his skills and experience to support property owners and their tenants achieve their goals which will also help make Cirencester and its surrounding area a more successful and attractive place to live, shop, work and visit.”
