Take Your Business To New Levels With The SME XPO – Launching This May
A new event is launching in London this 25th – 26th May 2022, offering attendees a unique opportunity to network, learn and navigate the business world. Coming to Olympia London this May, the SME XPO will offer an action-filled two-day programme and exhibition for free, providing SMEs, business owners and entrepreneurs an invaluable roadmap of skills and knowledge to progress and grow their businesses.
With over 120+ speakers, attendees can join keynotes from legendary business icons like Holly Tucker MBE, Founder of notonthehighstreet and Holly & Co, Tej Lalvani, CEO of Vitabiotics and ex-”Dragon”, and Debbie Wosskow OBE, Founder of AllBright. There will also be access to 24+ hours of free peer-to-peer learning as well as 20 open roundtable discussions offering practical, actionable advice from industry experts.
Alongside opportunities for networking and making lasting partnerships, the conference will also cover a wide range of insightful topics with four streamlined content areas:
- THE MASTERPLAN: Financial foundations, managing cash, entrepreneur’s mind-set, understanding and reaching the modern customer, cross-border trade
- SCALING YOUR BUSINESS: Building the right team, finding the right business partners, using modern marketing, securing investment
- EFFECTIVE ESG: Scaling your purpose led business, translating ESG into competitive advantage, the power of a diverse workforce, creating and implementing a carbon neutral plan, joining the circular economy
- FUTURE OF BUSINESS: The future of banking and investment for SME’s, harnessing the power of data for business growth, spotting and leveraging the next big trends, competing in a digital world, getting under the skin of Gen Z customers.
Tej Lalvani CEO of Vitabiotics and ex-Dragon has said that SMEs are the lifeblood of innovation: “SMEs are now more important than ever. The pandemic was a huge seismic shift to digital, especially direct to consumer selling. And, of course, there have also been changes in employee working practices, Brexit, new export and VAT regulations kicking in and, lately, supply chain issues. That’s all created so much confusion and raised so many questions that small business start-ups would like to have answered.” The conference “will help to provide clarity,” he says.
SME XPO and its sister event The Watercooler are also proud to announce that they will be the UK’s first fully accessible climate neutral B2B events. To help them achieve this, they selected four partners – Welcome, Eventwell, ClimatePartner and Event Cycle, each of whom founded with the intention of creating positive social change. From calming quiet areas for neurodiverse attendees, event waste repurposing to measuring carbon emissions and working to offset these, SME XPO and The Watercooler are committed to creating an event that is kinder, more accessible, and with positive social and environmental impact at its heart.
Organised by the Evening Standard and in partnership with Cisco, the Department of International Trade, and supported by the Federation of Small Businesses and UKBAA.
