GB News Broadcasts Inspiring Messages For Lent In New Series That Will Be A Permanent Fixture On The People’s Channel

GB News is featuring inspiring messages from Christian ministers across the country as part of a new series to celebrate the festival of Lent.
The Daily Reflection series follows on from the success of and warm reception given to the advent messages broadcast daily on GB News in the run-up to Christmas.
The new Daily Reflection series will now become a permanent fixture in the schedules on the People’s Channel.
The series began on Ash Wednesday on 5 March and will see ministers giving a daily message of faith during the Lenten season, continuing through to Easter and beyond.
On Monday, Rev Brenda Forrester of St Francis of Assisi Parish Church, Ingleby Barwick, Teeside, delivered a message about resisting temptation.
On Tuesday the Daily Reflection was delivered by Nims Obunge, Senior Pastor at Freedom’s Ark in Tottenham, London.
He spoke about the “difference between faith and foolishness” and not allowing pride to “get into our hearts”.
Obunge delivered a reflection on humility, and the need to reflect on who God is calling us to be.
Ben Briscoe, head of programming at GB News, said: “We had a wonderful response from viewers and listeners following our series at Christmas. They loved the messages and the tone behind them and the fact it allows a short moment in the day to just pause and reflect.
“These messages provide the perfect antidote to some of the horrific news stories unfolding each and every day.
“Although back for Lent, these messages will now be a permanent part of our schedule.
“We hope that people of all faiths and none will be able to take something from these short messages throughout the day.”
