Britain’s Got Talent Champion Magician On The New Judge Who Can Cast A Spell On The Show If Amanda Holden Quits

A former Britain’s Got Talent winner has shared his tip for who would make the perfect judge if Amanda Holden leaves the show.
DJ and TV presenter Amanda is reportedly thinking of ditching her role on the ITV programme to concentrate on other projects.
Amanda’s exit would be a huge blow to Simon Cowell and ITV. But ex-winner – the magician Richard Jones – says producers should go in a different direction in finding a replacement.
He said: “I think KSI was a fantastic addition to the lineup of judges this year as he is very current and fresh with the younger generations.
“So, with that in mind, I think a well known influencer would be a great idea. Maybe a famous YouTuber, ideally someone who is famous for having a specific skill within the entertainment niche.”
Millions of TV viewers are enjoying the return of the show which launched a string of careers.
Richard, a leading corporate entertainer with the Champions Music and entertainment Agency, won the title in 2016, but has also revealed who his favourite ever winner is.
He said: “I’m a big fan of so many of the previous winners but probably my favourite is the only one that I’ve not had the chance to meet in real life yet and that is Vigo Venn. He has such an electric and contagious energy that he can turn a dull moment into a moment to remember forever. Who would have ever thought a guy dancing round in high viz could be so incredibly funny.
Looking back on his time on the show, Richard continued: “If someone had told me all those years ago that I was soon to perform magic in front of 20 million people live on TV I would have laughed. The pressure of something on that scale is unimaginable but luckily I learnt fast that the only way to get good at doing impossible things is to get my mind focused for success. The emotional rollercoaster of a tv talent show is not to be underestimated. You have to have a method for controlling stress levels in those last minute moments to make sure you stay focused.”
Meanwhile Richard has revealed the personality trait Simon Cowell and Prince William have in common. The magician previously worked in the Household Cavalry to the royal family and frequently encountered Prince William at fancy parties. The future king even took part in one of Richard’s shows at Camden Roundhouse.
And since winning BGT in 2016 Richard keeps in regular contact with Cowell.
Explaining the similarities between the pair, the 34-year-old said: “The number one question I get asked is what is Simon Cowell like in real life and similarly to Prince William, he is one of the nicest people you could ever meet.
“He will thank everyone, he will go round and on his way out, he’ll say bye to all the door staff, the hotel staff, the events team.
“He will try to sneak out under the radar but on his way out he will thank everyone and it really makes people’s day when they are not expecting that.
“So he is very similar to Prince William. It’s lovely to see people of their fame going out of their way to make people feel appreciated.”
